Yin Yoga is about "allowing" as opposed to "creating." In Yin Yoga, we hold relaxing postures for 3-5 minutes at a time to alleviate tension, enhance breath awareness and develop mindfulness. "Innercise" is what Yin Yoga is about -- concentrating on the deep and connective tissues and fascia and allowing the muscles a little break. Allow the pose rather than create the pose with Yin Yoga. Let the stillness bring you in connection with your feelings, sensations, thoughts, and space. All levels are welcome. No prior yoga experience is required.
